It was just another Sunday for Sandy and Mary Oppenheimer.
The couple – both in their 90s – came out with about 600 others to take part in the Kiwanis-Sesame Place Classic Sunday morning.

This year marked the 20th that the run has been held. Since its inception, the race has raised more than $400,000 for the Levittown-Bristol Kiwanis Club’s Dick Dougherty Scholarship Fund, which is named for the longtime local sports journalist.
Over the years, the funds raised have gone to help provide scholarships for Bucks County high schoolers.
Despite Sunday morning’s humid weather, the couple finished with Sandy coming in at 50 minutes to run the 3.1 mile course and Mary wrapped up her run with just over 53 minutes.

“We’ve been running for, oh, 50 years,” Mary, 90, said.
Sandy, the 92-year-old former editor of the Bucks County Courier Times, said the couple still runs often and plans to continue moving forward.
In addition to the 5K, there was also a one-mile fun run and walk and a Kids’ Sprint.
