All of the women who came out for the 11th annual National Women Build Week in Falls Township on Friday are professionally involved in home building. Whether they are in real estate, marketing, construction, or other roles, all of the women have day jobs in the industry.
“This is great, we try to come out and do this a few times each year,” said Dana Romano, of the Professional Women in Building of Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
Doing outreach and volunteer work is especially fulfilling when they get to meet the primary beneficiaries, Romano said.

The group, according to Romano, became involved with Habitat for Humanity a few years ago. They have been park of National Women Build Weeks in the past.

Working alongside the future homeowner to help deliver that future is the embodiment of the American dream. according to the women working.
Mike Fallon has worked with Habitat for Humanity for about 13 years. As the construction director, he is in charge of the project on the 100 block of Windy Way.
Friday was the third day of work Habitat crews were putting in on the home. The crew succeeded in gutting three rooms and doing landscaping work to tame the front and back yards.

“It isn’t a hand out, its a hand up,” Fallon said.
When the house is finished, it will be Energy Star certified, fully insulated, and upgraded, Fallon said.

The project is a unique one for Fallon and the team because it is a renovation and not a new construction project. The biggest obstacle crews face will be the extensive termite damage in the home, Fallon said.
