Authorities: Two Men Dead Following Friday Evening Shooting

UPDATE: Revolver Found, Man Charged In Connection With Winder Village Shooting

Two men were pronounced dead after a Friday evening shooting in Bristol Township’s Winder Village section.

Deputy District Attorney Antonetta Stancu confirmed the men’s death but did not release their name or much further information during a late night news briefing.

The men both had connections to the Bristol Township community and knew one another, several sources close to the men told LevittownNow.com.

The men were shot in the 900 block of Elmhurst Avenue just past 7 p.m. Medics rushed the two to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia in an attempt to save their lives, authorities and sources said.

Neighbors said they saw first responders work to save the men before rushing them to the hospital.

Shortly after the shooting, two young men were placed in handcuffs by Bristol Township and Bristol Borough police and taken to waiting patrol vehicles on Winder Drive, about a block away from the shooting scene. The men appeared to be in the field behind Commerce Circle when police took them into custody. It was unclear if the men were connected to the case.

Bucks County Detectives were assisting Bristol Township police at the shooting scene. They brought a county command truck and a large crime unit.

Investigators were spotted placing evidence markers in the yard of a home at the corner of Weston Avenue and Elmhurst Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

The double homicide, according to neighbors, reminds them of the 2014 triple shooting on Winder Drive that left two men dead and another wounded. The robbery-gone-wrong ended with police eyeing three men for the crime.
