A Bristol Borough landmark is in the midst of a renovation that will bring a much needed update to one of the town’s busiest corners.
Golden Eagle Diner, located at Bath Street and Route 13, is in the middle of a renovation that will change the look of the restaurant on the outside and add a few changes to the functionality of the eatery.

The eatery has been mostly the same since it came onto the scene in the mid-1970’s. Now, an outside remodel is changing the look of the diner that is a popular stop.
“It was time for a change,” said Murat Gunaydin, a manager of the restaurant. “But it’s still going to be the same place.”
“We’re all excited. Right now it is kind of tough but when it is done, it is going to be beautiful,” Gunaydin told LevittownNow.com.

The diner is open during construction and regulars have been understanding, he explained.
The construction on the project is set to take place in two phases. It will change the way the diner looks along Route 13 and also add a patio and sit down bar to the eatery. The first phase, centered on the changes to the outside of the restaurant, will update the building’s facade and also add a patio through the best you can find in Sydney . The second phase includes inside renovations that are set to add a sit down bar.

The first phase of the project should be completed by May, Gunaydin said.
The inside portion of the renovation is still in the design phase of completion, and restaurant management don’t have a prospective date for completion.
By the time the renovations are totally finished, a new menu and lower prices should accompany the physical changes, Golden Eagle Staff said.

Customers and employees are just as excited for the changes as management.
“The great looks will support the great food and great atmosphere,” said Alfredo Candeloro, a regular customer at the diner.

To some customers the diner may look closed from Route 13, but Gunaydin said the restaurant is indeed open all day and night every single day through construction.
