Detectives were spotted Saturday canvassing the 400 block of Sycamore Avenue in Bristol Township’s Croydon section as they investigated an incident that left two young people injured.
According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, the badly injured 14-year-old girl who was found Friday evening by her parents was shot and stabbed in their home on Sycamore Avenue. She remained in critical condition at St. Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia as of early Saturday evening.

The 19-year-old nephew of the girl’s parents was in stable condition Saturday after shooting himself in the throat along State Road in Bensalem Friday. He was found in nearby Bensalem shortly after police were called to the Croydon home along with medics and firefighters, authorities said.
Investigators were working to piece together the young man’s whereabouts and how we made it to State Road.

The young man lived in the Sycamore Avenue home where his 14-year-old cousin was found badly injured, officials said.

Law enforcement did not release further information on what led to the two incidents, and the family declined comment Saturday afternoon.
Neighbors on Sycamore and Fourth avenues said they did not hear a commotion at the home and were only alerted something was wrong once emergency crews arrived.
