A crowdsourced tool to report problems and resident concerns in the Levittown-area went live recently.
LevittownNow.com has joined with the award-winning civic engagement platform SeeClickFix to crowdsource issues reported by you, the residents and taxpayers.

Residents have been using SeeClickFix on LevittownNow.com to report potholes and other non-emergency issues during test-runs in the past years. Local government officials said in 2015 that they used reader-submitted pothole reports to repair problem spots.
How SeeClickFix works:
- Citizens file a report on an issue via the website or app
- Issues are then plotted on an interactive map and a report is produced
- Neighbors and local officials can view the report and place an update
Local officials have been invited to keep track of issues reported by readers on our SeeClickFix page. Many responded with positive replies and recently said they expect to use the tool.

“Using SeeClickFix in the past, we’ve found out that many municipal leaders and public works managers don’t even know there’s a pothole, graffiti, abandoned newspaper box or overgrown property on a certain street until residents alert then to it,” LevittownNow.com Publisher and Editor Tom Sofield said. “SeeClickFix allows local officials to find the problem and act on it.”
Sofield explained that SeeClickFix will help keep local government accountable and he expects news articles to stem from the use of the tool.

SeeClickFix, which is based in Connecticut, compliments efforts by residents to report problems via phone and online messages to local government officials.
“This is a great tool and we’re hoping more of our readers discover it over the next year,” Sofield said.
