Levittown-Raised NFL Special Teams Coach In Running For Cardinals’ Top Job

Numerous sports outlets reported this week a Levittown native will be interviewed for the open head coach position for the Arizona Cardinals.

Keith Armstrong, a 1982 graduate of Bishop Egan Catholic High School (now Conwell-Egan), played on their football team and is the current special teams coach for the Atlanta Falcons, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Various reports note that Armstrong is among a group of contenders being interviewed by the Cardinals.

Armstrong, 54, has interviewed with several NFL teams over the past few years and even interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles after Andy Reid left the team, according to NBC Sports.

The special teams coach with head coaching dreams has been with the Falcons since 2008.

Armstrong was born in Trenton and raised in Levittown. He graduated from Temple University and worked with numerous NFL teams.

In summer 2017, Armstrong visited the Conwell-Egan football program.
