Firefighters rushed to the unit block of Linden Lane in Falls Township’s Levittown section Tuesday morning for a blaze at a home.
The fire started in the area of an unused trash can and extended up the home. A neighbor noticed the flames and alerted the residents around 9:10 a.m. The homeowner used a fire extinguisher to keep the flames at bay until volunteer firefighters could put down the blaze, officials said.

Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said he was not yet sure the cause.
No injuries were reported and the home remained habitable, the fire marshal said.
Crews from the Edgely, Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 1 and Tullytown fire companies responded.
