A community cleanup for the Croydon Woods property in Bristol Township is set for Saturday.
The cleanup is the fourth or fifth such cleanup being put on by the Heritage Conservancy, which will be joined by the Greenbelt Overhaul Alliance of Levittown (GOAL).

The cleanup will run from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. The group will meet near the little league fields at 1900 Summit Drive in Croydon.
The conservancy purchased the 80-acre property about two years ago from Dow Chemical. The $2.05 million price tag was mainly paid through grants.
“We have had such a positive response,” said Alexandra Dashkiwsky, marketing and communications coordinator for the Heritage Conservancy.

According to Dashkiwsky, neighbors will come up to conservancy workers thanking them for their involvement in keeping the community park clean.
“It really is making it cleaner and better suited for community enjoyment by everyone,”Dashkiwsky said.

The property is one of the only wooded wetlands in the region and is home to a number of endangered species.
