A new business has taken up residence in the space left by T.S. Cornerstones on Mill Street in Bristol Borough.
Collector’s Corner is a new retail shop bringing a little bit of everything to the town. Owned by John and Norma Lodise, the shop isn’t an antique shop or a thrift shop. Instead, it is a trading post where you can find just about anything.

John Lodiseย has been involved in retail and selling antiques and other odds and ends for nearly twenty years. A lot of his business was conducted out of his home in Bristol Township, but he has also rented space in a few spots in the area, including Kat’s Antiques and Mill Street Antiques more recently.
When the current storefront opened, the timing and space were right so the Lodises pulled the trigger to open a storefront of their own.
The store has barely been open two weeks, but John Lodise can already tell from those coming down Mill Street that his store is welcome.

“They say that this is what Bristol Borough really needs,” John Lodise explained.
John Lodise graduated from Penn State in 2000 before going into retail. Interactions with the customers and the inclination to move his own merchandise prompted the Lodises to open his own business.

“You come in here, and you’re part of the family,” John Lodise said.
The merchandise in Collector’s Corner ranges from candy to records, vintage collectible toys, electronics and a lot more. To acquire such a diverse inventory, John Lodise goes to auctions estate sales, and buys things from private people. He doesn’t take donations, but will gladly buy the item in question.
Collector’s Corner is not a thrift shop or any kind of charity, John Lodise stressed. If you bring in an item and want to trade, you can do that, as well.

“We’re hoping this works out for us and for the community,” he said.
John Lodise also plans on giving back to the community. A free school uniform exchange program will run in the store and the store will also be working with the Silver Lake Nature Center on some projects.
