District Attorney Set To Give Update On Opioid Epidemic Saturday

County officials will be hosting a town hall on Saturday morning to provide county residents with an update on the opioid epidemic.

The Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub will be joined by Diane Rosati, the executive director of the Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission, to go over the latest research specific to Bucks County and talk about treatment options available in Bucks County. The research, according to a press release, was compiled byย  the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacyโ€™s Pennsylvania Heroin Overdose Prevention Technical Assistance Center.

The town hall is scheduled for Saturday morning, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Bucks County Community College’s Lower Bucks County campus. The campus is located at 1304 Veteran’s Highway in Bristol Township.

The town hall follows Middletown’s decision on Monday night to join with Bensalem in pursuing litigation against pharmaceutical companies for their role in the opioid epidemic.ย 

The event is run by theย Bucks County Association of Township Officials.
