As the summer winds down, Fairless Hills Produce Center will have fresh heirloom tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, kale and beets that are grown in Fallsington. Matt noted additional benefits are the fact that produce is carefully grown at their growing location in Fallsington. They also do not use chemicals once their crops sprout from the ground and are grown using organic farming methods.
โWeโre able to control the growing process and that means controlling the prices,โ he explained. ย

Demand and interest from customers has spurred Matt to make changes in what produce he grows and how much. He added that it is a benefit of having a small operation and keeping his own crop.

โWeโre flexible and able to react to local customers,โ Matt said.
That input from customers has led Matt and his friend Chip Taylor, who are not related but share a last name, to grow numerous varieties of hot peppers, many that are near impossible to find at local grocery stores.

If Matt is not able to grow the produce at his 2,400-square-foot store himself, he often forms personal relationships with nearby farmers and purchases their goods. Itโs not uncommon to find Matt meeting with farmers, harvesting his own crop or looking to buy the freshest produce for customers.
For Matt, the extra steps to keep customers happy and healthy are just part of the job.
And it shows.
