Bristol Borough Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are partnering with the Grundy Library to run a food drive to replenish the shelves of a local food pantry.
The two organizations, Boy Scout troop and Cub Scout pack 212 and the Grundy Library, are running a month long food drive inside of the Radcliffe Street library until September 1. Non-perishable food donations can be brought to the library during business hours any day of the week. The scouts will then collect the food from the library and deliver it to the pantry.

The library is also encouraging participation by offering a $1,000 grant challenge for the pantry. The grant will be awarded if there is more than 1,500 pounds of food collected and more than 50,000 cumulative minutes are logged by the library’s reading clubs.
Food items with priority are breakfast cereals and other breakfast foods, protein rich foods likeย meat ravioli in tomato sauce, canned salmon and tuna, canned beans, dry beans and soup. All non-perishable foods will be greatly appreciated, organizers said.
