Theย Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library at 680 Radcliffe Street in Bristol Borough will be hosting “What Is An Eclipse?” Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m.ย Experts from theย Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association will be leading the discussion that is part of theย NASA @ My Library STEM education initiative.

The group will demonstrate how a solar eclipse occurs and what happens during an eclipse in advance of the afternoon solar event that will block out the sun on the afternoon of August 21. Attendees will also learn about how nature responds to an eclipse and how to make safe eclipse viewers inย eclipse glasses become unavailable.

The eclipse will be partial in Bucks County but a 70-mile-wide stretch across America will experience a full eclipse where the moon will block the sun.
