

UPDATE: No Injuries In Duplex Fire
A fire ripped through a large residential building in Hulmeville Borough on Saturday night.
Firefighters from the William Penn Fire Company and several neighboring departments were dispatched to the 500 block of Washington Avenue for reports of a dwelling fire at 9:15 p.m.

Crews encountered heavy flames venting through the roof of the building, which appeared to be a duplex.

The intensity of the blaze caused part of the roof to cave in, leaving the home badly damaged.
As of 10:40 p.m., fire crews remained on the scene.

Washington Avenue was blocked in the area of the blaze.
