“Pennsylvania’s civilian labor force was down 1,000 over the month to 6,475,000. Resident employment decreased by 3,000, while the unemployment count rose by 2,000,” according to the state Department of Labor and Industry.

Seven of 11 supersectors added jobs so far this year. However, 6,000 people in education and health services reported being newly unemployed. Business and professional services and the leisure and hospitality industries reported the largest increase in jobs, both registering record highs.
