The rain held off for the majority of the festival, which took over the Bristol Borough waterfront between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Vendors lined the park and a wide variety of foods were available for patrons.
“We knew that it could rain, but so far God has been good to us,” Sullivan said.
There are many cultural festivals held at the park throughout the year including Celtic Day, African American Day and the Italian Day festival. According to Sullivan, Puerto Rican day stands out because of the entertainment. This year, a world-renowned guitarist and famous freestyle group TKA performed at different points throughout the festival.
