A home was heavily damaged in a fire that started just minutes before midnight.

The fire was dispatched at 11:59 p.m. Saturday night on Deep Green Lane in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.
Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said one adult and one child were home when the blaze started in the kitchen of the Levitt-built residence.
The cause of the fire was ruled accidental and was determined to have started on the top of the home’s stove, Dippolito said.

No injuries were reported, but the home suffered heavy damage throughout, Dippolito said.
The Red Cross was called in to help temporarily house the displaced residents.

Crews from the Edgely, Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 2, Morrisville, Newportville and Third District fire companies responded to the scene. Croydon and Tullytown firefighters served as station covers while crews were fighting the flames.
