PennDOT has contracted Philadelphia-based James D. Morrissey Inc. to mill and repave a 6.7-mile-long stretch of Route 13 through all of Bensalem and from the Neshaminy Creek to Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township.
While the project is currently slated to be completed in summer, lane restrictions will begin between Veterans Highway and Newportville Road in Bristol Township Thursday, March 23 and continue through Thursday, March 30 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.
PennDOT spokesman Brad Rudolph said more traffic restrictions for the work will be announced as their dates approach.

The last time Route 13 in Croydon was paved was the early 2000s, Rudolph said.
Morrissey is the same contractor that led the massive Route 13 overhaul through Bristol Borough, Bristol Township and Tullytown. The project cost more than $36 million.
