An employee of a packaging business in Bristol Township suffered burns in a fire Friday morning.
The employee’s burns were described by Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito as “minor” but still required a trip by the Bucks County Rescue Squad to the emergency room at Lower Bucks Hospital.

The fire happened around 7:50 a.m. at Westrock Packaging on State Road in the Croydon section of the township. By the time firefighters arrived, the print rolling machine that was ablaze was extinguished by an internal fire safety system, Dippolito said.
The cause of the fire was ruled accidental. It happened, according to the fire marshal, when a flammable liquid was being transferred and came in contact with an ignition source.
The Bristol, Bristol Consolidated, Bristol Township, Croydon, Edgely, Goodwill, Newportville and Third District fire companies all responded to the scene.
