The death of a teenage girl in Bristol Borough remained under investigation as of Friday afternoon.
The 17-year-old girl found dead near the canal path and the Bristol Amish Market Wednesday afternoon has been identified but her name has not yet been publicly released, Bristol Borough police Chief Steve Henry told LevittownNow.com.

The chief said a TV news report incorrectly stated Friday that the body in Bristol Borough Wednesday was identified as missing 17-year-old Esma Donuk, who was last seen in Bristol Township on October 3. As of Friday afternoon, Donuk remains missing and authorities continue their search for her.
Bristol officers and medics were called to the area near the canal path for an unresponsive person Wednesday. They arrived to find the teen deceased at the scene, police said.
The teen’s death did not immediately appear to be suspicious but further investigation was continuing, Henry said.
