Authorities are investigating the death of a woman near the Delaware Canal.
Bristol Borough police Chief Steve Henry said medics were called Wednesday near the canal path and the Bristol Amish Market for an unresponsive woman, who was found to be deceased at the scene.

The death did not immediately appear to be suspicious but further investigation was still needed, Henry said.
Bystanders said police had been on the scene since around dusk and appeared to remove the woman’s body after dark.
Investigators from the borough and Bucks County District Attorney’s Office were working to identify the body as of Wednesday at 8:45 p.m.
