At their final meeting of the year, the Bristol Borough School Board filled a gap in their numbers after electing new leadership.

The final meeting of the year consisted of a reorganization meeting and then a business meeting.

During the reorganization meeting, Kelly Cochran, president of the board, stepped down. Jeff Paleafico stepped up to take on the role of president and David Chichilitti was named the new vice president. Former president of the board John D’Angelo is the new treasurer.

During the business meeting, the board named an appointee to fill the seat left vacant by Joseph Caro when he resigned. The board voted unanimously to appoint Albert Pirollo.

Pirollo will serve until the next election, in 2017. If he wishes to retain his seat, he will need to campaign and win the election in November, starting with the May primaries.

Other applicants for the vacant space included Charles Groff, who previously served on the school board as a normal board member and president.
