When officers were visiting the home on Andover Road in Fairless Hills, a resident pointed out a small hole in the ceiling where the firearm was discharged during an argument with Simmers, according to court papers.

Two days later, while serving a search warrant at the residence on Andover Road, officers noticed two more holes that matched the appearance of the first, the court documents stated.

The victim supplied a statement to police. The statement alleged that Simmers hit the victim in the head with the barrel of a gun and said “I wish you were dead.”

According to police reports, Simmers was “highly intoxicated” during the altercation on August 27. The victim left the home before the shots were fired, but a 19-year-old woman was still inside the home.

The probable cause affidavit neglected to note the type of firearm discharged in the home and used to attack the victim.
