The Pennsbury School Board has reached a tentative agreement with its teachers’ union.
According to a statement from the district, the tentative agreement was reached this week between the school system and the 850-member Pennsbury Education Association (PEA) that includes teachers, counselors, nurses, social workers, librarians and psychologists.

The district plans to make the terms of the tentative agreement public at a special school board meeting scheduled for Monday at 8 p.m. inside Fallsington Elementary School. At the same school on Wednesday, the school board will vote to consider the contract on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The PEA contract with the district expired on June 30. The school board voted down two state fact-finder reports that could have settled the impasse earlier this year.
The district and the PEA have been in negotiations since February.
