Local residents donated their time and resources to prepare 2,000 boxes of food to help families in need.
Volunteers gathered at Calvary Full Gospel Church on Trenton Road in Fairless Hills worked for about four hours Saturday to pack boxes with non-perishable goods such as oatmeal, Gatorade and other food items. The boxes are expected to be distributed in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia in the near future.
