A heroin arrest by Morrisville police on Sunday turned out to be connected to a theft in Falls Township.

According to court record, on Sunday, July 31, shortly before 2 p.m.,ย a Morrisville Police Department officer observed a black Acura parked in the lot at the Quality Inn located on South Pennsylvania Avenue. Inside the vehicle, he observed the vehicle’s driver, Kyle Wood, 27, of Levittown, and a vehicle passenger using suspected heroin.

A court affidavit noted that both men were taken into custody and found to be in possession of seven white glassine wax bags, one loaded syringe and a yellow bottle cap with suspected heroin residue.

Police impounded the vehicle before transporting the men to the Lower Makefield Police Department for processing.

After processing, a Falls Township officer was dispatched to a burglary and vehicle theft call in the 100 block of Lakeside Drive. It was then that the victim reported his black 2006 Acura stolen, along with several pieces of jewelry. The vehicle that Wood was driving earlier in Morrisville was confirmed to be the stolen Acura and later pawn shop records showed Wood had pawned several pieces of jewelry earlier in the day, according to court documents.
