An breathtaking flag display at Falls Township Community Park will be set up Friday, and the community is invited to help.

The annual display of 65,000 American flags that dot the field at Falls Township Community Park will be placed in the ground by an army of volunteers who will begin their work at 9 a.m. Friday.

The Delaware Valley Vietnam Veterans’ 31st Annual Donald W. Jones Flag Memorial will open to the public Saturday and end Sunday with a motorcycle rally and and concert that starts at noon.

Organizers said the large display features 60,000 flags in a line as long as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. Another 5,000 flags were used to make a star design.

The event has been hosted at the Falls Township park for more than a dozen years and previously was held at the Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol Township.
