The Bucks County Technical High School had its first ever Mini-THON on Friday night in support of the four Diamonds organization.

For the regional technical school’s first ever foray into the dancing fund raising effort that has become popular with local schools, about 85 students turned out to raise money for childhood cancer support as they danced from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.

The effort came together with work from the school’s Key Club. ย Teachers Donna and Amanda Milner, as well as Katelyn VanderGast worked to help the students make the event a possibility.

Members of the Key Club went to the Penn State Medical Center in Hershey to find out how Four Diamonds really works to support families fighting childhood cancer.

“Hershey taught us a lot about how to run the Mini-THON,” said Alexa Thatcher, a junior at the school and the president of the Key Club.

“Seeing where all the money went really motivated us,” said Andrea Mumper, the Key Club editor.
