The Neshaminy School Board approved the hiring of Mark Tingle as the new boys’ basketball coach at the high school.
Tingle, who will earn $6,185, for the 2016-2017 season fills the void left when former coach Jerry Devine was relieved of his coaching duties following an incident that made nation news at a basketball game earlier this year.

Parents and basketball players have spoken out at recent meetings asking that assistant coach John Mason continue to lead the team. According to statements made during public comment, Mason is well respected and well-liked by those who spoke on his behalf.
Tingle previously filled in as head coach of the team during the 2012 teachers’ strike.
