Sesame Place kicked off their 37th season on Saturday with a special performance in the morning, as well as the introduction of the new “The Magic of Art” show.
The new season at the popular amusement park will feature a lot of themes centering around art, said Jenn Martin, vice president of marketing for Sesame Place.

“A lot of the shows we have done in the past have been about pure fun, this is about art,” said Michael Joyce, the director of entertainment for the park.
According to Joyce, the goal of the show is to inspire kids who visit Sesame Place to exercise creative side.
“It’s one of my favorites that we have ever put on here,” Joyce said. The theater where the show takes place also features a number of “Sesame’d” classic paintings, such as the Mona Lisa and American Gothic.

The show will excite the audience and members of the park, Martin explained. “It doesn’t have to be a new coaster to be exciting.”
As for the opening day, a line of people was making its way into the park, which matched park officials’ expectations.
