One of Trenton’s hippest restaurants was damaged early Sunday morning when a car that fled Pennsylvania State Police in Middletown slammed into it.

Trooper said in a statement that they tried to stop a Ford Fusion along northbound I-95 after witnessing various traffic violations around 4:15 a.m. The car failed to stop and fled onto Route 1 and into New Jersey.
Trenton police joined Pennsylvania authorities as the chase entered into the city. Eventually, the pursuit ended once the Ford ended up slamming through the front on Trenton Social, a hip eatery and bar on South Broad Street.
The driver – a 27-year-old man from Trenton – was taken into custody and is expected to be extradited to Pennsylvania on charges of fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment, drug possession and DUI.
