Curbside collection of Christmas trees for composting will be Saturday, January 16 and Saturday, January 23. Trees over six feet long must be cut in half. The township notes all plastic bags and decorations must be removed from the tree. “As in previous years, Waste Management has a collection container available throughout the month of January at their Scale House area, 1400 Bordentown Road, Morrisville, PA for anyone who wishes to drop off their tree for composting free of charge,” according to township officials.

Because Christmas and New Year’s Day are on Fridays this year, trash scheduled for pick up those days will instead be taken on Saturday, December 26, and Saturday, January 2.

Wednesday yard waste collection will end in January, and residents may place up to five bags of yard waste to be included in their regular ten-trash container limit until yard waste collection resumes in the spring. Christmas trees will be picked up on Wednesdays during the month of January. See here for additional information.
