Lower Makefield police working in conjunction with Falls Township officers arrested two people suspected of committing a burglary.
A Lower Makefield police press release noted that a neighbor, who was a witness to the incident, observed in theย 100 block of East Ferry Road that a Pontiac station wagon, gray in color, back into the driveway of neighboring residence before two subjects exited the vehicle and walked towards the rear of the home.ย The home’s owner arrived home shortly after and observed the subjects flee towards the Delaware Canal.

Damage was discovered on the garage entry door and the interior garage door leading to the home. Police noted that the damage was consistent with that of forced entry, police said.
Officers tracking the suspects, who witnesses stated jumped into the canal, located wet work gloves in the area. One of the gloves had a blood stained tear in the wrist area, according to police.
Falls Township police later stopped a taxi at the Calhoun Street Bridge in Morrisville, identifying the subjects as Sabannoh Yawson, 21, and a 17-year-old juvenile, both of Trenton. The two were suspects in the Lower Makefield robbery.

Police noted the juvenile was found to be wet from head to toe. Both subjects had mud on their shoes and were positively identified by the witness. The juvenile was also found to have a cut to his wrist, consistent with the blood found on the glove by police.
A gray Pontiac parted outside the home where burglary occurred was reported to have been stolen after it’s driver left it running at their home in Hamilton, New Jersey the day prior.

Both Yawson and the teenger were charged with burglary, attempted burglary, conspiracy, criminal trespassing, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief. The juvenile was transported to the juvenile detention center in Edison. Yawson was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $75,000 bail.
Falls police are investigating an additional attempted motor vehicle theft from Alden Avenue in the early morning hours of Sunday. Both Yawson and the juvenile are said to have matched the descriptions provided by the owner of the car and a witness.
