Giving back to the local community is important to Inspire Federal Credit Union CEO Jim Nerill and the rest of the organization.
The Bristol Township credit union partnered with Mary’s Cupboard, a local food pantry located in the Covenant of St. Michael the Archangel Church on Levittown Parkway. The pantry has no affiliation with the church, however.

“Inspire is committed to providing support throughout the community because we know how important it is to keep things local,” Brian Phillips, the assistant vice president of relationship development, explained.
For five hours on Saturday, anyone could come in to Inspire and get a free picture taken with Santa. When they are there, participants were encouraged to donate to the food drive.
In total, the event collected 400 pounds of food and hygiene products for Mary’s Cupboard.

“I think this is just something that our organization believes in,” Merrill, president and CEO of the Credit Union, said, referencing the importance of supporting the community.
In addition to the staff of Inspire, volunteers from Mary’s Cupboard were present.

According to volunteer Ann Hyjurick, the pantry helps at least 36 families every week. “We welcome anyone in Bucks County that needs help. The need really is tremendous.”
