Local Fire Companies Hosting Open Houses

Several local fire companies are hosting fire prevention events this month.

Middletown’s Parkland Fire Company at 831 Avenue D will be opening their fire station to the public from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, October, 3. Fire trucks, a vehicle rescue demonstration and information for residents will at hosted at the station.

The William Penn Fire Company will be hosting a fire prevention event on Saturday, October 3 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at their station on Oxford Valley Road in Middletown.

The Tullytown Fire Company will be hosting their annual fire prevention event in the parking lot of the Levittown Town Center on Saturday, October 3. There will be demonstrations, food, music, emergency vehicles and more.ย  The annual event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. This event has been moved to Sunday, October 4.

The Third District Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting a fire prevention expo at the Bristol Township Municipal Building on Bath Road Sunday, October 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature live fire demonstrations, family fun, fire truck and music. This event has been moved to Sunday, October 18.

The Fairless Hills Fire Department on Hood Boulevard will be hosting an open house on Thursday, October 8 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Bristol Townshipโ€™s Edgely Fire Company will host a wing eating competition at 7:30 a.m. Friday, October 9 followed by a large fire prevention expo with demonstrations, K-9 units, firefighter competitions, live music, vendors and much more. The large evening fire prevention event starts at 6:30 p.m. at the fire house located at 1200 Edgely Avenue.

Levittown Fire Company No. 2 will be hosting their fire prevention festivities Saturday, October 10 starting at 1 p.m. at the station on County Way in Bristol Township.

The Falls Township Fire Company in Fallsington will host their fire prevention event Saturday, October 10 starting at 10 a.m. and running until 2 p.m. The event will feature tours of the station and equipment, a smoke house, demonstrations and lots of family fun.

Bristol Borough Fire Company (Station 51) and other borough fire companies will host a fire prevention expo on Sunday, October 11 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Bristol Walmart. Firefighters will demonstrate how to prevent house fires and explain why each family should have emergency evacuation plans. In addition, there will be fun activities for children, including a moon bounce, music and snacks.

On Sunday, October 11 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., Levittown Fire Company No. 1 will be hosting their fire prevention expo at their station on Falls-Tullytown Road in Falls.

A fire company open house will be held in Penndel on Tuesday, October 13 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Fire trucks will be on display, there will be demonstrations, food and drinks. The fire house is located at 220ย  Centre Street.

The Newportville Fire Company will be hosting their fire prevention event from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 15 at their station on New Falls Road in Bristol Township. The event will feature fire truck rides, raffles, rescue competitions and craft vendors.
