No bombs were found and students were let back into the school.

Four bomb-sniffing dogs from area police departments were called in to conduct a protective sweep of the school, Acting Lt. Ralph Johnson told LevittownNow.com.

The students were evacuated around 10 a.m. to the stadium, according to school officials and police.

In a Facebook post, school district officials apologized for informing parents the students were evacuated when they had not yet left the school.

Authorities have confirmed Harry S. Truman High School in Bristol Township was locked down Friday morning due to a bomb threat.

According to students on social media, the lockdown happened shortly after the school day began.

As of 8:55 a.m., the lockdown continued while Bristol Township police officers checked the building.

A police official said bomb threats were found on mirrors inside the building. Out of an abundance of caution, the school was searched by police.

A statement from the Bristol Township School District:

Please be advised that police are on the scene of Truman High School investigating a bomb threat which was written on a bathroom mirror within the building. Students have been evacuated, are safe, and police are on the scene conducting an active investigation. We have no further updates at this time.

Contrary to rumors, the bomb squad was not called to the scene.

In May, Truman was evacuated and dismissed early due to a message officials deemed threatening that was written on a bathroom mirror.
