Bucks County Rangers say there was not a lady drinking vodka and surrounded by 50 cats or teenagers shooting pellet guns at the cats at Core Creek Park Thursday.
However, rangers did find a Chester County man incoherent with a handgun, several shotgun shells and drugs, according to court paperwork filed Thursday afternoon.

James Rivera, 31, of Coatsville, was charged with false alarms to an agency of public safety, false reports, possession of a controlled substance, a weapon-related offense and related crimes. He was arraigned and sent to county lockup on 10 percent of $50,000 bail.
Rangers said they received a 9-1-1 call reporting the cats surrounding a woman drinking vodka and later a call of teenagers shooting at the cats. An investigation determined both calls came from Rivera, court papers stated.
Ranger Joseph Zuchero tried to call back the number Rivera dialed from with no luck.

With another ranger in tow, Zuchero searched the county park in Middletown and did not find the cats, the woman drinking vodka or teenagers. However, another ranger did find an incoherent Rivera with two book bags with shotgun shells in and near them, authorities said.
“I saw a f**king lady drinking vodka with cats,” Rivera allegedly said. “Then I saw kids shooting at the cats.”

“During conversation, Rivera was observed to speak/behave consistent with an individual who was under the influence of a controlled substance,” Zuchero wrote.
A search of the book bags uncovered the Smith and Weston 380 Body Guard gun, Suboxone, a box cutter and a small amount of suspected marijuana, according to court papers.
Rivera reportedly told the rangers he did not know what he intended to do at the park that day. He did add that he had no intention to hurt himself or others and was unaware the gun was in the book bag.

A Dodge pickup truck Rivera allegedly drove to the scene was towed from the park.
