A Bristol Township man who shot his brother-in-law to death last Labor Day was sentenced in Doylestown Wednesday.
William Rivera, 64, was sentenced to 10 to 32 years in prison for the murder, according to a statement from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. In March, Rivera pleaded guilty to homicide in the third degree, possession of an instrument of crime and two counts of recklessly endangering another person.

Rivera shot 59-year-old Trenton resident Jorge Rodriguez, who was his brother-in-law, with a shotgun in the living room in front of his wife and 7-year-old son, authorities said.

Officers were called to the house atย at 4401 Fayette Drive in Bristol Township. and found Rodriguez dead in a pool of his own blood.
Rivera reportedly told investigators he had a disagreement with Rodriguez over the Labor Day weekend over an incident that happened at Christmas.

The shooting happened during a family reunion at the house.
