Founded in New Jersey and now spanning the nation, the Learning Experience welcomes children ranging from six-weeks old up through preschool level. The goal is to create an educational process in every task the children do whether it be learning to crawl or even introducing the children to Spanish and sign language.

“It’s very multi-disciplinary here,” says Marie O’Brien, the assistant director and 20-year veteran with learning centers. “So if we have a theme like ‘Under The Sea’ this month, we follow that theme throughout the month and that idea is implemented from infants all the way up. Some schools will like to wait until kindergarten to begin reading but this school likes to give a background before the child gets to that point so that they have a good foundation.”

tle3O’Brien says that this method works because it simultaneously implements a level of high interest from the children so they remained entertained and educated all at once.

“That’s the biggest thing. It’s not a daycare – it’s a learning center,” says Gail Ross, a grandmother to a child in the Learning Experience. “She was non-verbal when she started here and now she’s right up to speed. No, this is not a typical daycare – it’s beyond that.”

“I think this place is such a success because of the curriculum,” says Nichole Denchant, a mother whose three-year-old is learning Spanish and sign language already.

The one thing you see when walking around the Learning Experience is that there is purpose behind every activity the children take part in and that shows in the kids when they are playing with each other. Not only is academics a huge part of the process but personal values are established immediately when entering.

Levittown Learning Experience“While they’re playing they are always still learning. And it’s good because the curriculum changes at all times so its not like they are learning the same stuff over and over,” says Camille Bisignaro, a prepper-teacher at the Learning experience whose ten-month old child just learned to crawl at the building. “I think the structure of the building is huge we not only teach these kids to read but we also teach manners like where else can you find that? The kids are learning so much here and they are bringing that home which is wonderful.”

The Learning Experience stands behind the idea that what is good for one child, is good for all children, and therefore provides multiple enrichment programs included in a childโ€™s tuition. These enrichment programs are taught by experts in the fields who also have experience teaching children.
