A 14-year-old boy was shot in the eye with a BB pellet Tuesday evening.

Bristol Borough officers were called at 6:15 p.m. to the area of Pine Street for reports of a subject who was shot in the eye. A short time later, officers discovered an injured teen showed up at Lower Bucks Hospital for treatment.

The teen told Detective Sgt. Randy Morris that he was visiting a friend in the 700 block of Pine Street when David Black, 19, and Anthony Barnett, 18, both of Bristol, approached and displayed what appeared to be a black handgun, according to court papers.

The injured teen said Barnett initially brandished the gun and asked the teen if he had money or drugs. He said “no,” according to court papers.

One of the defendants shot the teen in the face. A pellet hit him in the left eye, police said.
