2 Hurt, 2 Detained Following Serious Crash

Two people were rushed to the hospital following a serious hit-and-run crash late Tuesday night in Bristol Borough.

A pickup truck first struck a car in the area of Wood and Market streets around 11:25 p.m.The force of the strike pushed the vehicle into a porch in the 200 block of Wood Street. The pickup that struck the car then drove off, dragging the car into the corner of a building in the 100 block of Wood Street, police said.

The pickup truck, which was occupied by two people, fled the scene before borough police arrived, Sgt. Joe Moors said.

Tullytown police were able to stop the pickup and detain the two people inside on Radcliffe Street.

One person that was in the car remained in critical condition this morning and the other was recovering from less serious injuries.

Moors said the pickup driver may have been intoxicated.

As of Wednesday morning, no charges were filed and the investigation was ongoing.
