Woman Accused Of Telling School Officials She Wanted To Put A ‘Bullet In Their Head’

A Yardley woman is accused of leaving a threatening voicemail for Pennsbury School District officials.

Police say Dawn Moors, 46, was the voice on the other end of the phone January 26 when the threatening message was left for Pennsbury Superintendent Dr. Kevin McHugh.

The message was immediately reported to Sherwood Taylor, Pennsbury’s director of administrative services and security. Taylor testified during Moors’ preliminary hearing that district IT staff then saved the message and he filed a report with Falls Township police.

McHugh’s secretary looked at caller ID to confirm the number used to leave the voicemail belonged to Moors, Taylor said in court.

Prosecutor David Burdett played Moors’ alleged voicemail, which referenced an incident on a bus that her daughter was involved with and a 2007 incident involving a woodshop teacher. The message also referenced alleged police corruption, mentioned the house of a former superintendent, a “network,” the catholic church and alleged corruption in Bristol Township and Yardley.

“I want to make sure everyone gets a f–king bullet in their head for what they did to my daughter,” the person on the message said.

Taylor testified that he was sure it was Moors on the other end. He stated he has previously talked to Moors when her daughter was a student in the district.

Due to the phone call, which Taylor said was “very disturbing,” the administration building, nearby Fallsington Elementary School and the former superintendent were all notified about the possible threat.

Moors was not represented Tuesday by an attorney. District Judge Jan Vislosky said she was willing to reschedule the hearing but Moors said she was prepared to have it proceed. Moors said she thought a public defender would be present and court papers did list one as representing her.

The 46 year old mentioned that charges would be dismissed and said she discussed it with a public defender. Burdett said he was not aware of any charges dismissed and even added two additional charges at the end of the preliminary hearing.

“I don’t look at myself as a criminal,” Moors said during the preliminary hearing.

Moors is facing charges including misdemeanor harassment and terroristic threats. She is currently free on bail.
