People Of Levittown: Marge Casper Keeps The Ball Rolling At 90

Marge Casper loves bowling, and she’s been doing it for roughly four decades.

On Monday, in celebration of her 90th birthday, Casper of Fairless Hills attended her regular league game at Levittown Lanes on New Falls Road in Falls Township.

Casper’s granddaughter, Michele Williamson said her grandmother always said that if she was still bowling at 90 she wanted to get her photograph in the newspaper. On Monday, she got more than that – aside from LevittownNow.com, a photographer from the Bucks County Courier Times and Fox 29 attended her midday bowling match.

Casper was proud to say she still drives and maintains an active lifestyle.

“The trick is having a positive attitude,” she said on her longevity. “Try to be happy and never stay still.”

She also noted she was the first member of her family to live past 90. As an example of her determination to stay active, the 90 year old said she has kept on going despite a cancer fight and hip and knee replacement surgeries.

Casper, between turns during the game, proudly said she the mother of four, grandmother of six and great grandmother to four.

Living in Lower Bucks County most of her adult life, Casper said she kept bowling years back when she moved to New Orleans. She later came back to the area and has been bowling at Levittown Lanes for at least 20 years.

“She doesn’t ever stop,” Williamson said. “I don’t know what will happen the day she has to.”
