A man is accused of leaving threatening voice mail messages for Bristol Borough police officials.
Fred Stiltner, 57, was arraigned Tuesday on charges of misdemeanor terroristic threats and harassment. He was arraigned before District Judge Frank Peranteau Sr. and released on $150,000 unsecured bail.

Last week, Bristol Police Chief Arnold Porter along with officers Sgt. Pete Faight, Alan Hankinson, Elifa Soto and Dean Johnson allegedly received phone threats between Wednesday and Saturday. The first messages were “vague” and “non-descriptive” but later messages became more “harassing and threatening in nature,” according to court papers.
Detectives noted in court papers that they believe the messages were made following domestic incidents between Stiltner and his wife.
Bristol police contacted the Bucks County Detectives on Sunday and an investigation was launched.

A wife of a Bristol police officer who received a message, reportedly saw a man matching Stiltner’s description outside her home Saturday afternoon.
“I know about your new home and car, hey mothef–ker kiss my goat smelling ass for what you did to my wife. The same thing is going to happen to yours. I’d like to cremate you and flush your ashes down the toilet,” Stiltner allegedly said in a message that was left late Saturday night for the officer whose wife spotted the 57 year old.

A similar message was left for another officer, detectives said.
Police said they have had previous contact with Stiltner, according to court papers.
