With an end to cold weather came two residential fires linked to heaters.
Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the two accidental fires in the township caused some damage to homes but no injuries.

The first blaze was reported around 8 a.m. in the 200 block of Dogwood Drive. Crews arrived to find a fire caused by an overloaded extension cord connected to a space heater. The fire was contained to a bedroom, Dippolito said.
The second fire happened at 9:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Indian Creek Drive. The small blaze reportedly was started by a heater placed near a wall. The fire was contained to a small area near the heater.
The National Fire Protection Association said in 2010 that while only 32 percent of heater fires are caused by space heaters, 70 percent of those fires involve a fatality. The organization warned residents to keep all heaters away from children and flammable objects.
