The Tullytown Borough Police Department has charged one man with a connection with a heroin investigation.

Police have charged 24-year-old Raymond Schilling of Levittown via summons with one misdemeanor count of use or possession of drug paraphernalia. His preliminary hearing is set for March 31 with District Judge Robert Wagner Jr.

The charges come nearly four months after police responded to a call from Schilling’s father from his home on Lakeside Drive in Levittown. According to court papers, Schilling’s father informed police he had discovered texts on his teenage daughter’s phone arranging for a drug exchange. Schilling was accused of using the teen’s phone since he does not have a phone of his own. According to police, the text read, “How many bags you giving me?”

As noted in court papers, when Schilling’s father checked his bedroom he found numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia including needles and empty bags of suspected heroin. All evidence was turned into police.

The defendant, who was arrested back in late November, tested positive for opiates via a urine sample given at The Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Schilling is not new to the judicial system, he was charged with retail theft less than two weeks before his father called police. Schilling pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drug-related charge in March 2014.
