The Bucks County Commissioners voted to approve a new contract for some county workers.

The collective bargaining agreement with American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) AFL – CIO 88 is retroactive since it expired in January 2013 and runs until December 2016. The new deal that covers 420 non-court related clerical and technical staff will received a 5.5 percent raise over four years.

Here’s how the raises breakdown:

  • 2013-0%
  • 12/31/2014-1.5% (retroactive)
  • 2015- 2%
  • 2016-2%

Bucks County officials noted when they approved a $393.915 million operating budget for 2015 that several unions did not yet have agreed upon contracts.

Earlier this year, some nonunion Bucks County workers got a 2 percent pay raise.
