According to Lower Makefield police, officers began supervising controlled buys against Byrne on February 3 with the use of a confidential informant (CI). Police observed Byrne, accompanied by Lavender, exit a home on New Pond Road in Levittown and walk to the 7-11 convenience store on Mill Creek Road on four separate occasions; each time, police say, it was to exchange marijuana for pre-recorded buy money with a CI.
Police say after contact was made to Byrne by the CI on February 3 to purchase 1.5 grams of marijuana, Byrne personally contacted the CI three more times to initiate additional sales. Police say those sales occurred on February 10 and 12 for a quarter ounce of marijuana, and on February 23 for two grams of the drug.
All of the suspected marijuana purchased tested positive during field testing, according to court documents.
