Officials and neighbors said the wall of a condemned home at the corner of Pine and Spring streets fell hours after borough crews were at the scene to put up barricades. The collapse required PECO crews to come out and secure a gas line.

The home was condemned about a year ago and was unoccupied, Borough Manager James Dillon told LevittownNow.com.
Nearby resident Amy Mazz said the wall continued to crumble as of 5:40 p.m.
No evacuations were required, Dillion said.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly noted the incident happened on Pond Street. It, in fact, happened at Pine and Spring streets.
